Status In progress
Acronym INDIGO 5.0 (INDustrija, Intenzivno Gospodarstvo, Otpornost – 5.0)
Summary The project investigates the operations of modern companies in the dynamic, digitally intensive environment of Industry 5.0. The main research focus is on key corporate characteristics (ownership structure, corporate governance practices, ESG reporting, organizational values, and elements of corporate strategy). It examines how these characteristics influence resilience and business performance, as observed in the financial and non-financial performance of large enterprises. Special emphasis is placed on identifying organizational paradoxes specific to the digitally intensive environment of Industry 5.0. The project employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches, primarily based on publicly available secondary data. Its scientific contribution lies in generating new insights into the relationships among managerial and organizational aspects, resilience, and business success in a digitally intensive environment, thereby advancing digital transformation. Additionally, the project will identify existing and emerging determinants of resilience affecting corporate operations. Beyond scientific insights, the project’s results will also have practical implications for improving business performance in the digital era, thus providing broader economic and societal benefits.
