Acceptance of Innovation in Education: Universal Design for Learning and Artificial Intelligence as the Foundation of Future Teaching
| Status | In progress |
|---|---|
| Acronym | EDU-FUTURE |
| Summary | The project brings together two complementary research directions that are integrated through a shared methodological framework and build on ongoing research activities and international projects of the Laboratory for Advanced Technologies in Education. The first direction focuses on the application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in higher education, with a particular emphasis on the Asian context. The goal is to examine the factors influencing the adoption of UDL among teachers using the UTAUT model, with a focus on institutional conditions, social influence, and expected benefits. The second direction explores the application of artificial intelligence in education through the integration of large language models (LLM) into the humanoid robot NAO and the development of an AI assistant within the Moodle LMS. The study will investigate the acceptance of these technologies, their impact on learning personalization, student engagement, and the reduction of teacher workload. Both directions use the UTAUT model as a theoretical basis for analyzing the factors of technology acceptance, thereby contributing to the development of more effective and inclusive educational solutions based on artificial intelligence. |
